Tremolo picking – Just rapid picking. Start very slowly with a steady rhythm and only then increase the speed.

Rock Fusion - This rock/fusion riff is featured on my song "Purgatory".

Big Pentatonic – This is a full pentatonic scale going from low A to high A.

Arpeggiomania – This is a sequence I made which goes to the higher note first, then drops to the regular minor, or major arpeggio.

the following bio material provided by Ryan Formato

I was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Mastic, NY at the age of 5.  I picked up the guitar at the age of 14 and seriously began interested after hearing Steve Vai.  I have been playing guitar religiously for 4 years and I will continue with the guitar through college while studying jazz.  I will be attending Stony Brook in the fall of 2002.  Steve Vai is my major influence along with Jeff Denny, as Jeff Denny has taught me everything I have learned about the guitar from fierce licks to the theory behind chords and music as well.  I am currently in the process of creating my own CD which will hopefully be out by the end of this summer.  I have also competed in the Guitarmageddon competition making it all the way to the Regional finals. I am currently looking for a manager as well as a record label to put my CD out on. Go to my webpage to check out some of my stuff.
