Night On The Beach

While playing 8 finger tapping pieces it's important to anchor your right hand thumb on top of the fingerboard as this will give your fingers a reference point and balance your hand. In this piece the left hand plays the chord shapes while the right hand plays the melodies.

All of the chords are diatonic to the key of E Major. It's important to try and have all the notes of equal volume, and also to practice to a metronome once you have it memorized. In the sound clip i am using a clean sound with the neck pickup and some reverb and auto-wah added. Also, to help clean things up with open strings ringing out while your playing, it's useful to wrap a sock around the neck near the nut. or you can invest in a proper string dampener. But the sock is cheaper and does the job, just make sure its clean. ;)

Enjoy....
