Pentatonic Licks (Part 1)

Let`s talk about the pentatonic licks. You know that these licks are the most used by guitarists, especially by blues players. I want to show you my vision about the pentatonics. Every player knows old-fashioned, over-used blues licks. For this reason I like to play pentatonics using 3 note per string, string skipping, and tapping to create innovative licks and ideas.

Examples 1 & 2 are 3 note per string pentatonics with tapping. They sound very fluid and smooth!

Example 3 is a "Howe-ism", by that I mean a technique similarly used by Greg Howe...“tap-pull-retap” techniques with repetitive tones.

Example 4 uses hammer-ons and tapping on different strings!!! Try it together with me!!!
