MIKE SHOUSE

Modes+Arpeggios+Tapping=Fun!

This lick starts on the and of 4 instead of on the one. Try doing this to licks you know. We cover the neck with this one from the lowest note E to the highest on the 24th fret. It starts with a modal(Aeolian or minor) 3 note per string run up to the octave E. From there we play some sweep arpeggios moving up the neck in 3 voicings of Emin. We then incorporate two handed tapping to the arpeggio and end moving back down the scale using hammer-ons and pull-offs with both hands(legato) ending with a tapped harmonic. Try using different techniques as you build your own ideas.
